Mrs. Noel Anderson

PreK-8 PE; K-8 Music; Grade 3 ELA & Math

It is my goal, with God’s help, to instill in students a joy of learning, to challenge students daily, and to provide them with the educational support they need to be able to rise to that challenge. I hope to help students to grow in faith in their daily walk with their Savior.

I graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH with a BA in Elementary Education and a minor in music. After graduation, I served as a vocalist and guitarist for a year on the Minneapolis based music ministry team Youth Encounter, where I met my husband Dave.

My first teaching job was in the wonderfully diverse community of North Miami, Florida at Holy Cross Lutheran School. There I taught kindergarten, grade 2, lower elementary music, and summer school for grades 5-8. I also coached soccer, served as Sunday School Superintendent/Contemporary Worship Music Leader and Youth Group/Children’s Choir. I earned a MS in Reading K-12 from Barry University, Miami Shores, FL.

Over the years I have been able to live out my confirmation verse by singing in various church choirs and tour choirs and playing music with my family. Psalm 98: Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things!

I began teaching Music at Trinity in the Fall of 2014, PE in 2015, and grade 3 Math/ELA in Jan. 2018.

In Music, I hope to share the love of Jesus through song, so that students sing and play instruments with joy and in service to the King.

In PE, my intent is to focus on the amazing gift God has granted us with our bodies, and the importance of taking care of those bodies through fun , diverse physical activity which will continue for a lifetime.

In my free time I enjoy hiking with my husband and four children, vacationing at the beach reading a good book, listening to and playing music.

Mrs. Angela Aures

PreK 4; K-8 Art

Growing up as a first generation Italian I was raised with family values nestled in rich foods and  music and knowing that God and family should always come first. My parents taught us a very strong work ethic and made sure we knew the importance of education.

I graduated from Buffalo State College with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts/Interior Design. After graduation, I worked full time at Espacio One Interior Design. Then, I freelanced and worked part time in a restaurant. Once I married Michael and we started a family I knew I wanted to go back to school for my certification and Master’s in Art Education where I wrote my thesis on “Providing Vehicles with the Arts to Cultivate the Whole Preschool Child.” I started teaching art at Trinity in 2006 and then was asked to teach the preschool program also in 2009.

In my free time, I love spending time with my husband, adult children and close friends. We love to vacation with all of them as well as spend time at musical concerts and festivities around Buffalo. Bonfires by our creek and water activities at our lake house fill up our summers along with volunteering at our church carnival and VBS. As I move along my continuum of “becoming” who I was meant to be I uphold the words of author, Marianne Williamson: We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. As we let our own light shine we subconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

Mrs. Judeen Babcock

Administrative Assistant

As an Administrative Assistant at Trinity Christian School, I support the day-to-day operations of the school. With a focus on efficiency, organization, and excellent communication, I manage a wide range of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the school’s office. This includes managing correspondence, security and providing support to both staff and students.

When I am not at my desk at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and both of my girls along with their husbands. My time with me two grandchildren Theodore and Everleigh is always the highlight of my day!

Mr. Dave Cuviello

Grade 5 Math; Algebra; Math AIS.

Growing up I always loved mathematics. Even as a toddler I would always read the house numbers on my street.  This love continued to grow and in my senior year of high school I joined Americorps and helped out students with their math homework. From this joy I always knew being a mathematics teacher would be my calling.

I graduated from West Seneca West senior high school. From there I graduated from Buffalo State College where I earned my bachelor’s degree in mathematics education grades 7-12.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and seeing my friends. I enjoy playing board games and escape rooms. I enjoy the summer months the most and love swimming and hiking.

I am a member of Saint John XXIII Catholic Church. My favorite bible verse is Romans 12:12, “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”

Mrs. Sarah Gabel

K-4 Spanish; 5th grade ELA; 7th grade Math; Co-principal

God has called me to teach His children so that they may grow spiritually, intellectually, and physically.  I love Jesus, and I want to share that special love with my students! My favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified or discouraged, for I am with you wherever you go.”

I am a Trinity graduate!  I attended Trinity from PreK-8th grade. My experience here was awesome, and I am so excited to be teaching here and sharing that experience with a new generation of children. I graduated from Concordia Bronxville with an Early Childhood degree and a minor in religion, receiving my Lutheran Educator’s Diploma. I went on from there to Buffalo State College where I earned my Masters degree in Childhood Education. I am certified to teach birth-6th grade, and am currently teaching 1st grade ELA, math, and religion. I am also a co-principal along with Katie Willert.

I live in Collins with my husband, Duane, and my 5 children. I love to spend time with my family. We enjoy hiking, 4-wheeling, camping, and playing games. If I get a few minutes to myself, I love to read a good book!

Mrs. Bryana Haas

Classroom Aide

As a graduate of Trinity myself, it is such a joy to be back here teaching, and having all four of my kids attend! I am a graduate of Buffalo State with a double major in Early Childhood and Childhood Education. My most recent job has been full time Mom which has brought lots of joy! I am excited to be dipping my toes back into the education setting and working with students every day. I hope my energy and time with them will spark a smile and show them the love of Jesus. My Confirmation and life verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:16-19: Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not put out the Spirit’s fire.

My husband Bill and I live in West Seneca with our 4 children and our Golden Retriever Sabre.

Ms. Christine Harris

I hail from Hilton, NY, where I attended St. Paul Lutheran School from Kindergarten through eighth grade. This positive experience sparked my interest in pursuing an Educational Degree from Concordia College, Bronxville, NY. I achieved a Masters Degree in Education and a New York Permanent Teaching Certificate and have been educating young minds for over 25 years in Lutheran Schools. Currently residing in West Seneca with my family, I am active in the community advocating for adoption and child welfare.

I have been sharing my love of learning with classes at Trinity Christian School since 2012. I strive to encourage my young learners to feel excitement about God’s big world and to consider learning a terrific adventure. I understand that teaching in a Christian school is a wonderful opportunity to share God’s love with my students and their families. I provide a safe and caring environment which enables students to build their foundation for life-long learning and success.

Miss Koryn Kocsardy

Grade 1

My name is Miss Kocsardy and I feel tremendously blessed to be one of the newest additions to Trinity’s Christian School community. I graduated from Buffalo State University with high honors and obtained my bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6). I am also currently enrolled in their master’s program and am studying Childhood and Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction with an endorsement in teaching gifted and talented students.

I have numerous years of experience working in diverse educational settings and was previously employed at the Office of Family and Child Services (OFCS) where I was a behavioral health specialist for at-risk youth. While working for the state, I was trained in trauma-informed care and therapeutic crisis interventions. The experiences I have encountered throughout my career have only further solidified my beliefs that to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially, children require a safe, secure, and supportive environment in order to fully flourish. I plan to provide these fundamentals to my first grade students in order to ensure their academic success and spiritual growth.

Mrs. Ashley Kopra

I am thankful to be part of Trinity and for the opportunity to encourage students to seek God’s will in their daily lives.  My goal is to help each student grow both academically and spiritually.

I am a graduate of Buffalo State College where I earned a bachelor’s degree in childhood education with a social studies concentration and extension. I went on to earn my  master’s degree from Canisius College in differentiated instruction.

Outside of school I love to spend time with my family and friends, especially my husband and son. I am a member of Salem Lutheran Church where we participate in events such as Vacation Bible School, Sunday school and the annual Christmas pageant. I really enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and playing sports.

Mrs. Karen Schmidt

PreK 3/4; ELA AIS

I grew up in Buffalo, NY attending Nazareth Lutheran Church. I went to college at Concordia, Ann Arbor on the advice of Pastor Barth, vowing not to marry a pastor. Well, God had other plans! I married a Pastor, completed my BS in Elementary Education at Buffalo State College, and began my teaching career in a Florida Keys Lutheran School my husband founded. After Rev. Schmidt accepted a call to Calvary Lutheran Church in Amherst, NY, I worked as a substitute teacher at First Trinity Preschool and Martin Luther Christian School. Attending a church function at Nazareth one summer day, the principal said, “I might have a job for you this fall!” The rest is history. I taught at Nazareth for 20 years in grades Preschool- Grade 5, watching the students grow up strong in the Lord. Sadly, when the school closed, I worked at a few schools in the area until Mrs. Fretthold called and said, “Guess what?” This is my 6th year at Trinity. 

I thank God everyday for the opportunity to work at Trinity, in a place where I can openly share His love and forgiveness with the kiddos I teach.

My husband and I have been blessed with 3 children and 2 grandchildren.

Mrs. Katie Willert

To reflect the awesome joy that I have from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and guide students in a fun, yet challenging educational experience that will encourage them to discover the joy of being a lifelong learner.

My favorite bible verse is Phiippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again:  Rejoice!”  I love the “always” part of that verse. It can be tough to do, but oh so important!

I started my teaching career at Trinity 26 years ago teaching third grade, and it is very exciting to be back! Before returning to Trinity, I taught grades 4-8 at St. Luke Lutheran School in the Pittsburgh area for 10 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in education from Concordia University in New York and a master’s degree in elementary education (focusing in math and science) from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania.

My favorite subjects to teach are science and math. Outside of school, I enjoy doing anything with my husband Mark, and our two daughters, Grace and Hope. We like to bike, go boating, bake, and read books.

A fun fact about me is that I love everything about books. The bigger the book the happier I am. I even love the smell of new books and bookstores! I try to read as often as I can – especially in the summer.

Mr. Mark Willert

Grades 1&2/5-8 Religion

I pray that the students in my class will see Christ in me. That by my actions and interaction, whether through teaching, encouragement or discipline, they may see and feel God’s awesome love and forgiveness for them.

I try to model my life after Matthew 5:16 which says, “…let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

I graduated from Concordia college in Bronxville, NY with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, minor in General Science and an extension to teach Pre-K and 9th grade.

Before coming to Trinity, I taught 7th grade for 3 years and did Youth and Family Ministry for 11 years at St. Luke Lutheran Church and School in Cabot, PA. I have taught 3rd and 4th grade combined, and currently teach religion classes and lead the Small Group and Family Ministries and contemporary worship.
